BACKGROUND

Who Is Bryan?

It is amazing how a young artiste can move from near oblivion to stardom within such short emergence into the very competitive Nigeria Music Industry. His debut single, "Rizla" started the whole curiosity.

"Rizla" was released officially on the 17th of May, 2019 on all social network and distribution platforms across the globe. Within 24 hours, the traction was phenomenal. And the question rented the air: "Who Is Bryan?"

Here is some answers for you:

Bryan was born Brian Okadigbo Ifeora in the early 90s far away in the USA.  He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Okadigbo. And both his parents hail from Anambra State of Nigeria. Bryan had his primary education in America, but came to Nigeria in 2011 to follow up his secondary education. The handsome young man decides also to pursue a career in music, along side his University education. He is currently an undergraduate at the Coventry University, UK.

Bryan is from a heritage of great minds and history. His mother,  Honourable Vivian Okadigbo is a member of the House of Assembly in her constituency. Her contribution towards the betterment of her people has raised her to the status of a miracle worker.

Bryan's father, Mr. Henry Okadigbo is a very successful businessman. A respected character among his peers. And many say that Bryan took after him in so many ways. He also exhibits that character of genuine focus and determination to make a positive impact in all his ventures. It is also interesting to learn that a one time Attorney General of the federal republic of Nigeria was Bryan's maternal grandfather. I am talking about late Mr. Clement Akapmagbo. Little wonder the artiste is so composed and focused. He is definitely destined to become a great person. Some would say that greatness is in his gene. However, having said all these, it would be grave injustice not to mention Bryan's uncle, the late Chief Chuba Okadigbo.

Elu is a very interesting song. It is a praise song with loads of energy. It boasts of all the elements of a traditional African praise rhythm. I love the horns in the music. Nice production. If you pay close attention to the lyrics you'd appreciate the artistes conviction of God's great power. The artiste is confident in the fact that God will provide all his needs, regardless of circumstances. What a lovely way to perceive God. 

Though we have not had the opportunity to interview Simsong to ask what ELU really means or it's root, but the content of the song speaks for itself in it's entirety.

The name is probably the most popular artiste' name in Nigeria when you talk about home front love songs. Adekunle Gold who came into lime light after dropping back-back multiple Hits. The relationship between the artiste and YBNL Music may have expired as the new video has URBAN RECORDS as his new Label.

Today, the 15th of June 2018, Adekunle drops the visuals to his most recent single titled "Surrenda". The video, as all his earlier videos is as crisp as expected.

What i love most about this video is its relative simplicity. Most artistes would want to plunge unnecessary budget into a music video project. But Adekunle Gold; he knows better than to such. It is just few hours ago that he released the video on his YouTube Channel and it has already gotten over 3000 views. It shows how good the video must be.

You will notice that it is a two cast video as well. Most Ballard songs music videos do not usually need much casts. Most directors sir that it makes work easier and they just concentrate on the artiste and his performance. Adekunle Gold didn't miss any detail during the shoot. He was charismatic, real, convincing and brilliant. This visual would definitely endear him more to his teaming fans. I Love Him.

The concept is simple and captivating. We would like to see more videos like this one from the indigenous singer/song writer and photographer.  

We did some interviews; asking people what they think about the song and the video, and most of them gave positive rating to the material. Though some the people felt that they enjoy him more when he does those conscious songs; those once that gets the mind leaping for joy and satisfaction. Even though they like "Surrenda", they still insist that it is Adekunle Gold's worse material. They do not like the video and song, but they will forever love Adekunle. . 

My personal opinion remains that this young artiste is still going to be contributing immensely to Africa's music industry. No doubts, he is going to be here for more decades to come. Thumbs up to bro....
